Kyocera Wireless Corp., a leading global manufacturer of CDMA wireless phones and devices, announced a new look handset from its 2007 product lineup at the CTIA Wireless 2007 trade show. Kyocera Wireless, a leading global manufacturer of CDMA wireless phones and devices, announced that the Kyocera KR1 Mobile Router has been upgraded to support CDMA2000 1x Evolution Data Optimized (EV-DO) Revision A (Rev. A). Rev. A is an upgraded network technology recently launched with several CDMA wireless service providers that offers uplink and downlink speeds rivaling broadband landline connections. The award-winning KR1 Mobile Router is backward compatible with CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Release 0 (Rel. 0) networks and current KR1 users can download free firmware upgrades by visiting the Kyocera Wireless web site.

Kyocera Corporation (President: Makoto Kawamura) announced that it is to commercialize W51K, as a new model for au. The product is adding to au's new models released today. W51K is a slim one-seg mobile phone that allows the user to enjoy the one segment broadcasting programs with its 2.7-inch large-screen W-QVGA liquid crystal display and powerful, high-quality sound. A front media key, located on the front of the handset, is for smart-and-easy operation of media functions such as one-seg and LISMO. Additionally, the terminal can use the woofer-equipped desktop charger popular from W41K and W43K, which now also supports powerful and high quality sound of one-seg programs and LISMO video clips.

The W42K is a mobile phone that supports "au's Listen Mobile Service (LISMO)" and offers the user the pleasure of casually listening to music anywhere at anytime. This product provides a wide variety of services that are not available with a normal handset, such as listening to songs that have been bought in LISMO by using "au Music Player" on the mobile phone and sharing the music between the au mobile handset and a personal computer using music management software for the computer known as "au Music Port."
