Jamster intros the availability of the world’s most popular animated family; The Simpsons. Cell phone users can now download voice tones and wallpapers of Bart, Krusty the Clown, Ralph Wiggum and others. Jamster has opened the Simpsons Mobile website to easily access the online content. The Simpsons made for mobile content is based on the FOX animated TV series. Each month, Simpsons fans will be able to enjoy more of The Simpsons as their favorite Springfield characters are added to Jamster’s mobile website.

Sprint announced new ways for its customers to take their games to go on their Sprint phones with the launch of the Sprint Arcade, a unique bundle of casual games. The Sprint Arcade, the first-ever subscription game channel in North America, allows customers to download multiple games powered by EA Mobile, the group within Electronic Arts Inc. that creates games for mobile phones, for one low monthly fee. The current list of Sprint Arcade mobile games includes Sudoku, Mini Golf, Mahjong, Hearts, Air Hockey and Blue Blocks, with more to be added.

Namco and Sprint announced the Arcade classic game Popeye for mobile phones. Popeye on mobile phone includes both the original arcade version of the game as well as an enhanced mode with bonus game play. Building on the action in the arcade mode, the enhanced mode features fresh new graphics, two brand new rounds (“A Dream Walking” round and “Spinach Run” bonus round), and additional characters, including cameos by Eugene the Jeep and Bernice the Whiffle Hen. Points earned throughout the game can be redeemed for downloadable Popeye comics on mobile phones.

Glu Mobile Inc., a leading global publisher of mobile games, announced that it is working with the McDonald’s Corporation, which serves over 26 million customers a day, to give away one million “instant win” game prizes of Monopoly games, under license to Glu and McDonald’s from HPG, the licensing division of Hasbro, Inc., on the mobile platform. Glu is working with McDonald’s and Hasbro to raise awareness of mobile games with this first-ever redeemable Monopoly mobile game prize for the Monopoly 2007 Game at McDonald’s. The Monopoly 2007 Game at McDonald’s will run in the United States from October 2 - October 29.
