Samsung, the number one consumer electronics brand in the world and an acknowledged leader in the digital convergence revolution have teamed up with Truprint for the launch of their new Samsung G600 Camera Phone. The Samsung G600 camera Phone will be launched in stores such as O2, Orange and Carphone Warehouse in mid August and in-store promotion, running for 6 months, will be based on the phones high performance 5mega Pixel Camera device. The promotion is designed to show customers that they can replace their Digital Camera with the new phone, for their entire picture taking needs.

Nokia announced that it has chosen JWT as its global network marketing agency. The announcement is part of Nokia's marketing renewal that focuses on streamlining marketing planning and increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of all marketing activities. The marketing agency review has been an integral part of the marketing renewal process. In July, Nokia announced Wieden + Kennedy's appointment as the global lead agency for Mobile Phones. Multimedia will continue to use Interpublic Group (IPG) for Nokia NSeries creative support and Enterprise Solutions will continue to use WPP as their global creative agency.

Alltel Wireless, America's largest network, announced the Alltel Hue by Samsung is now exclusively available at shopalltel and Alltel Wireless retail locations. The phone offers a wide variety of features including Alltel's patent-pending Celltop technology, an MP3 player with Jump Music capabilities, a 1.3 megapixel camera with video, and a choice of colorful, interchangeable faceplates. Now through Sept. 13, 2007, customers who buy the Alltel Hue will receive the Alltel Snap flip-phone free, while supplies last, after a $20 mail-in-rebate with a two-year service agreement.

Pantech Group (Sung Kyu, Lee, President&CEO of International Operations), announced its marketing strategy in Argentina by establishing its branch in the end of August. Pantech’s marketing in Argentine market started in December of 2005 supplying Pantech branded PG3210 phone to CTI Movil, the No.2 telecommunication operator, an affiliate of No.1 telecommunication group “America Movil” in Central and South America, has now overcome difficulties at initial time in the market and is showing fast growth.

A group of mobile manufacturers, network operators, suppliers, recyclers, consumer and environmental organisations, led by Nokia, has committed to improve the environmental performance of mobile phones and to do more to raise consumer awareness and participation in take-back and recycling. The group was created as part of a European Commission pilot project looking at how different industries could work with stakeholder groups to reduce the environmental impact of their products throughout their lifecycle.

Nokia announced it has completed implementation and optimization services for the deployment of Cellular One's Enhanced Data rates for Global Evolution (EDGE) data and Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR) voice services to northeast Arizona, northwest New Mexico and southeast Utah. "We are pleased to have worked with Cellular One to deliver EDGE services to residents of the Four Corners region who were previously unable to enjoy access to advanced data and voice communication," said Tim Johnson, Vice President, Networks, Nokia. "This agreement builds upon a foundation set by Nokia and Cellular One in this region in 2002 and demonstrates the commitment of both companies to providing customers with an enhanced communications experience."

Following the initial three years of cooperation Nokia and WWF will continue working together to drive environmental awareness of Nokia employees and to find new ways to enhance Nokia's environmental performance and support WWF's nature conservation goals. The new contract has been signed for an additional three years.

Nokia and international children's organisation, Plan, have joined forces to use modern communications technologies in Africa to raise children's awareness of their rights and opportunities. Nokia has provided an initial donation of 1 million Euros for 2006. The first stage of this joint effort will see Nokia focus on supporting Plan's existing media and communications technology projects for Africa's children and youth.

Nokia, the world leader in mobile communications, and Yahoo!, the number one Internet destination, announced that they are making it easy for mobile photographers to upload and add comments to photos directly from their Nokia Nseries multimedia computers to Flickr, the largest online photo sharing community on the Web,. Consumers will be able to connect to their online Flickr accounts without the need to download or install any additional applications. The Nokia N93, Nokia N73 and Nokia N72, also announced today, are the first Nokia Nseries devices to support Flickr.
