Research In Motion and Sprint announced plans to launch a new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet model featuring connectivity to the blazingly fast Sprint 4G network. The 4G BlackBerry PlayBook will be the first BlackBerry PlayBook model to include wide area wireless connectivity, featuring Sprint 4G to give customers download speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G. This new 4G BlackBerry PlayBook is expected to be available from Sprint in the summer. Together, the 4G BlackBerry PlayBook and the Sprint 4G network will provide a high performance platform that will enable a mobile services revolution for both application developers and customers.

The enormous advance of BlackBerry on the consumer market and a few attractive new cell phones have done the brand good. Partly thanks to BlackBerry Messenger, or Pinging, BlackBerry is here to stay. However, the competition has also been busy, and the enormously popular Android operating system and the Apple iPhone do not make it easy for the BlackBerry product Research In Motion (RIM). This makes us extra curious about the user experiences of the new BlackBerry Torch.

Although the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona is just behind us, and we could not find a new smartphone at the Blackberry booth, but it seems that BlackBerry will shortly be introducing a new smartphone. The MWC 2010 was especially an event for BlackBerry to draw attention to the different services they offer, and the endless cooperation between enterprises. There had been some rumors a while ago about a so-called BlackBerry Slider, but there was not much hard evidence. Actually, recent image material has stirred up the rumors once again. Photo material coming from a Black Berry Slider smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard makes it obvious.
