On Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, Apple is offering discounts on Apple iMac, iPods and other Apple products. Friday 27 November, Apple will be holding a one day shopping event with huge worldwide discounts. It has not yet been revealed how high the actual discounts will be, and to which products they will apply, but you can surely count on some huge percentages! This one-day global discount event applies worldwide, yet differs per area. On the day itself, various discount articles can be ordered through the Apple Online Store. Just practice a bit of patience before spending your money until Thursday at midnight, when the Apple discount commences!

Wireless Dynamics, provider of NFC and RFID SD products, announces the iCarte 110, the first NFC (Near Field Communications) and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Reader/Writer to provide NFC two way communications, RFID read/write and contactless payment capability for Apple iPhones. As a MFi (Made for iPod/iPhone) accessory attaching to the bottom connector of the iPhone, the iCarte turns the iPhone into an NFC phone as well as an RFID Reader/Writer. The iCarte also contains an embedded smart-chip which can be configured as debit, credit, pre-paid and loyalty cards turning the iPhone into an electronic wallet.

One of those persistent rumors that keeps popping up, is about the development of a smaller iPhone 3Gs, also called Apple iPhone Nano. Perhaps an iPhone Nano is simply the most desired item, and we can certainly imagine why. The iPhone 3GS has had a major impact on the development of new phones, and has at the same time also influenced the creative minds of the developers that tend to stay in the background. We can certainly see potential for a small iPhone Nano, although a smaller screen does require appropriate adjustments. Apple is booming: whether it's an iPod MP3 player or an iMac computer, each Apple product is bit mystical. Such is the Apple iPhone, which is in fact just a regular cell phone. Only the rumor that they are working on a basic model iPhone, the iPhone 3Gs 8GB, is stirring things up again. It must be the fault of the Android mobile phone, which is coming from a manufacturer whose existence often appears to be hanging on a thin thread. The Motorola MILESTONE Android phone, or otherwise known as the Motorola DROID, could create fierce competition, especially in the lowest segment of today’s mobile phone market.

The Apple iPhone 3GS has only recently become available, but the first rumors about a new iPhone (iPhone 4G?) are already flooding the internet. According to the rumors and a well-informed source, according to himself, Apple is testing a prototype iPhone with built-in RFID reader. For those not familiar with RFID; this is a technology to store and read information from a distance of so-called RFID tags, which are found in or on objects. In practice, you come across these on a daily base in the form of detection gates in shops. But why would an Apple iPhone 4G be equipped with RFID, and what could a possible functionality of RFID be?

Did New York Times Executive Editor Bill Keller speak too soon? With each and every day, the rumors about a new Apple product being launched soon seem to become stronger; the Apple Tablet. Biller Keller briefly mentioned the so-called Apple Slate during a private meeting. The Apple Slate is supposed to be a tablet that enables reading content such as newspapers. Undoubtedly Apple's refined touch technology will be integrated in the Apple Tablet. The goal of the NY times meeting was a presentation about the future of the New York Times as a newspaper in the digital era. And Apple seems to be involved in this.
