T he Sony Xperia Sola Android smartphone is NFC enabled and comes standard with two Xperia SmartTags to simplify users’ everyday mobile experiences. By touching a NFC Smartphone on a Xperia SmartTag, a pre-configured user profile in the phone will automatically launch. The Xperia SmartTags can be configured with a maximum of 10 commands. Out of the box one SmartTag is optimized for the living room to turn on Wi-Fi functionality and launch Google News and weather apps, and the other Xperia SmartTag is configured for the bedroom, which turns on the alarm and switches the Xperia Sola smartphone into silent mode.
