Demonstrating the wireless carrier's commitment to providing cost-conscious yet high-function mobile phones, the Kyocera Rio Smartphone will be available starting today for a suggested retail price of $129.99 in Cricket-branded retail stores, select dealers and via the Cricket website. Weighing in at just over 3 ounces, the compact Kyocera Rio Smartphone packs a stellar 2.8" QVGA full touchscreen display and the new My Home Screen with 3 customizable home screens, quick one-touch access icons for messaging, dialer, and scrollable menu and contacts.

The new Kyocera Rio mobile phone also comes with an optical trackpad / navigation key, 1.3 megapixel digital camera, music player, microSD memory card slot, stereo Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack and links to Cricket Navigator, Mobile e-mail, and My Backup. The Kyocera Rio handset will be offered on Cricket's all-inclusive unlimited plans, including the basic $35 unlimited talk and text, and the robust $45 plan which provides users with unlimited talk, text, navigation, international text, unlimited and video picture messages, unlimited web browsing and more. In addition, Kyocera Rio customers utilizing the $45 rate plan have free and fast access to Cricket Navigator, mobile email and My Backup that protects customer contact lists.
