The Motorola Brute i686 is the latest Nextel Direct Connect handset and first iDEN clam cell phone designed to meet Military Specification 810G requirements for extreme elements, including dust, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, low pressure, blowing rain, solar radiation, humidity, salt fog and immersion. No matter the condition, the uncommonly durable Motorola i686 rugged phone is built to keep you connected. Dual microphones on the rugged phone ensure great sound quality and background noise cancellation, enabling clear conversations with the rugged phone from Motorola even in noisy environments.

With services like Group Connect, Direct Talk and Direct Send, you can communicate instantly with one person or many. With the new Motorola rugged phone it's easy to send pictures or contact information while on a Push-to-Talk call, and Direct Talk keeps you in touch even when you are off-network. The Motorola rugged phone is equipped with Stereo Bluetooth wireless technology, giving you the option to stay connected while hands-free.

The Motorola rugged phone gives you a variety of messaging capabilities to quickly communicate with co-workers, customers and friends. These capabilities include SMS, MMS, a unified message inbox and IM-style message threading to make tracking conversations easier. The Motorola Brute i686 rugged phone comes with a 2 Megapixel camera with flash function to store and send pictures.
