A t the start of 2009, HTC brought the T-Mobile G1 onto the market, which was our first experience with the Google Android operating system. It took a little getting used to, but we quickly saw this platform’s potential. Other manufacturers followed quickly with different high-end mobile phones. LG is now introducing a model for the other end of the market: a prepaid package for a favorable price. Prepaid and Android do not seem the most logical combination, partly due to the use of data. LG Optimus review - Multimedia applicaties

You can use all your favorite multimedia files with the Android operating system. In the menu, Media Player and Music are found. All the files are found there, neatly organized according to artist, track, genre, etc. Next to the standard music and video functions, there is also an FM-radio in the menu. Of course, the headphones need to be connected first. There is also a video-editor, which allows you to join photos and videos, add fun effects and text, and create a fun slideshow. This is a fun option, but the question is whether this will get used or not. Trying it out is pretty fun, though.

Review LG Optimus GT540 - Google Android

By entering the username and password for your Google account, you gain direct access to the Android Market with the LG Optimus Android, as well as all your calendar items and email conversations from your account. Next to this Google functionality, the Google Maps Application, YouTube and Google Talk are of course pre-installed on the phone. With the latest version of Google Maps, all Android users can transform their cell phone into a full navigation system, including spoken navigation, without extra costs. Next to Google mail, other accounts can also be used in a special e-mail application; you often only have to enter the address and a password, after which the settings are sought.
