U .S. Cellular offered customers another Android-powered Smartphone to choose from with the arrival of the Samsung Mesmerize (Model : Samsung SCH-i500). This Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone is the most cutting-edge handset U.S. Cellular has launched this year that runs on the Google Android platform. U.S. Cellular’s next two Android-powered Smartphones are the LG Apex handset, which will launch in November 2010, followed by the LG Optimus U in December. Both new handsets will join the carrier’s growing Smartphone catalogue that also includes Windows Mobile and BlackBerry Smartphones.

 

Samsung Mesmerize Smartphone features

The new Samsung Mesmerize Smartphone features a brilliant 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, making it easier to play mobile games and watch movies in bright environments. The Samsung Mesmerize Smartphone is equipped with an 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird Application processor that speeds up downloads and uploads, and produces high-quality 3D graphics and multimedia content. Samsung's All Share application allows customers to send video, audio and pictures from their Mesmerize to other DLNA-enabled devices, like TV's and personal computers.

 

 

Samsung Mesmerize Android Smartphone

The Samsung Mesmerize mobile phone operates on the Google Android 2.1 mobile software platform with access to the 80,000 software applications available on the Android Market. It includes popular Google Mobile Services including Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, Google Talk and YouTube, and is pre-loaded with popular U.S. Cellular applications like Your Navigator Deluxe, Tone Room Deluxe, My Contacts Backup and CityID. Samsung Mesmerize customers can upgrade their software later this year to access Samsung's Media Hub and migrate to the Google Android 2.2 platform, nicknamed "Froyo."

 

 

Samsung Mesmerize Smartphone from U.S. Cellular

The Samsung Mesmerize cell phone comes with a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology, allowing customers to input text quickly by sliding their finger over the keyboard in one continuous motion. The Samsung Mesmerize from U.S. Cellular also features six-axis motion sensing for responsive gaming, Samsung's Social Hub, a 5 megapixel digital  camera with camcorder function that records video in HD, MP3 player and 3.5 mm headphone jack, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and expandable memory up to 32GB.

 

 

Samsung Mesmerize review availability and price info

The new Samsung Mesmerize phone is available in stores and at US Cellular website for $199 with a two-year contract after an $80 mail-in rebate.
