A fter being the first to bring a smartphone with the Google Android operating system onto the market, HTC also clearly shows the early experience with the Android platform in the latest models. Earlier, LetsGoMobile has had the pleasure to test the T-Mobile HTC G1, HTC Magic and the HTC Hero. The Android operating system is very hot and every brand is joining up in order to also have Android in their portfolio. The possibilities, the design and the open character make the Android platform highly desired.

HTC Legend review - Android smartphone menu

The HTC Legend smartphone's menu can be accessed by holding down the menu key at the bottom of the start screens. A list with all programs appears. If something is being installed this shows up in alphabetical order. The menu key under the screen has a different function is each window, for example to start a search in Google Maps, changing the layout of the main menu, or adding a Widget to the start screens. The use of this menu key takes a bit of getting used to, but it is self-evident.

 

 

HTC Legend multimedia options

All the multimedia is found in the menu under music. An adjustment is also found here, as you immediately see music tracks with the album image. If you choose options, you get a list that you can arrange according to album, artist, genre or track.  With the built-in speaker you can enjoy your music in high quality, or you can use the headset included or any headset with a 3.5mm connection. The captured photos and videos are brought together in the menu under photos. Next to this content you can of course play videos via the YouTube application. Thanks to the fast connection, the clear screen and a touch screen that reacts well, the HTC Legend is very suitable for this.
