S amsung Mobile announces that the Android 2.1-powered Samsung Galaxy Smartphones will be available on U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, U.S. Cellular and Cellular South in 2010. Samsung Mobile has packed powerful, cutting-edge technology into each Samsung Galaxy Smartphone, including features such as a stunning 4-inch Super AMOLED display screen, 1GHz Hummingbird Application Processor and a multitude of entertainment, messaging and social networking features and software applications.

Samsung's Galaxy S portfolio is powered by the open and innovative Android 2.1 platform, with full support of Google Mobile Services including Android Market, Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk and more. Samsung Galaxy Smartphone users can also access the Android Market and customize their experience on the Samsung Galaxy Smartphone portfolio by choosing from more than 60,000 exciting and useful software applications.

 

 

Samsung Galaxy S

The new Samsung Galaxy Smartphone keep users connected with Samsung's Social Hub, which is an application built around Messaging and Contacts, both of which initiate the sending and receiving of information, whether it is e-mail, instant messaging, social network updates or SMS messages. Additionally, calendar information from portal calendars, such as Google Calendar, and social networking services are displayed together in one calendar with two-way synchronization.

 

 

Samsung Galaxy Smartphones

The Samsung Galaxy Smartphones, including the Samsung Captivate at AT&T, Samsung Epic 4G at Sprint, Samsung Vibrant at T-Mobile and Samsung Fascinate at Verizon Wireless, will be available in the coming months. Additional Samsung Galaxy S phones will be available with U.S. Cellular and Cellular South in the fall of 2010. All Samsung Galaxy S Smartphones will be upgradable to Android 2.2 in the near future.
