S amsung is one of those mobile phone manufacturers that are successful in assigning certain handsets to a specific target group, for example the female callers. With the very obvious term Lady phone, Samsung presented its new Lady phones to the world press. We have discussed the Samsung S7070 previously during Samsung’s Lady phone event during the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. The Samsung S5150 Diva folder is the other Lady phone that we ran into during the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Spain. It is also the more luxurious version of the two Samsung Lady phones. The extra LED display, integrated on the front of the Samsung Diva mobile phone shows among others a digital clock.

The material that is used for the Samsung Diva mobile phone is blinding in sunny conditions. The very shiny material almost turns the Samsung lady phone into a mirror, only the design of the cell phone does not allow it to be used as a mirror. In any case, the Samsung Diva folder shines like a polished gem. Next to the time, the fine LED screen shows incoming calls, and missed calls. The whole design or the Samsung Diva folder is a real eye-catcher.

The Samsung phone's design is remarkable and once it is folded open you get to see the Samsung Diva S5150 in all its glory. It always takes a bit getting used to, after handling several phones in one day, to be confronted with a ‘small' 2.2-inch display. Smartphones nowadays  generally have about 3.2-inch up to 4+-inch display formats, but are actually not so unique in their design. After having played with the Samsung Diva mobile phone for a while, we quickly get used to the display format. The display is good and the QVGA resolution is sufficient. Remarkable is the presence of a digital camera and the combination with a landscape mode. Such a combination is not so common, but the works in practice, such as the Samsung Diva folder shows.

The new Samsung Diva folder's interface speaks for itself. Navigation runs smoothly and is fairly simple. the handy Internet browser shows the way to recent fashion tips, fashion trends and other hip and trendy current affairs. Of course audio is included in the form of an FM stereo radio and of course the built-in music player. Although the digital camera delivers a resolution of ‘a mere' 3 Megapixels, this is more than enough to update the social networks with your latest personal unique moment.
