I t was a bit quiet around the LG Viewty Smartphone series, but a new Viewty phone can now be announced: the LG Viewty Smile. This new LG smartphone is an extensive touchscreen phone found in the middle segment. This LG phone also fits into a trend that we have noticed: the LG Viewty Smile is equipped with a 5 Megapixel digital camera. The manufacturers have put on the brakes, by not allowing themselves to get caught up in the Megapixel race, at least for the first quarter of 2010. Rather, the average amount of pixels has decreased to an average of 5 Megapixels. The LG Viewty Smile is a true a camera phone, as it is equipped with auto focus camera.

The LG Viewty Smile Smartphone supports a fast connection via HSDPA so that the high resolution photos can also be sent directly to social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. We are curious about the prospective possibilities in the area of digital photo editing. Functions such as face detection and even laugh detection are gradually becoming common in such camera phones.
