D uring all the 3D craziness and innovative technology, we came across a showcase with several Hyundai cell phones. Now we know Hyundai from the previous MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, and saw it to be an active mobile phone manufacturer with a strong price-quality ratio for its products. But where did the mobile products end up after the Mobile World Congress 2009? The European website has disappeared and further inquiry tells us that Leitz-Austria from Vienna, responsible for the distribution of the Hyundai cell phones, went bankrupt last year with millions of Euros in debts. The Hyundai cell phones division was thus a victim of that bankruptcy.

 

Hyundai MP-910 watch phone

Apparently, this situation only occurred in Europe, as we came across the Hyundai MB-105, the Hyundai MB150 and the Hyundai MB-910 watch phone in Las Vegas. The Hyundai MB-910 is a so-called watch phone with Tri band 900/1800/1900 MHz support. In terms of appearance, it is a standard watch, with a slight James Bond air to it. The display has a 1.4-inch format and offers touch functionality. The Hyundai MB-910 also communicates via Bluetooth and USB and saves data in the 128 MB internal memory. A Bluetooth hands-free headset is included with it.

 

 

Hyundai MP-150 mobile phone

The Hyundai MB-150 Easy is another type of cell phone that we won't be running into in Europe soon. This compact cell phone supports Dual Band (900/1800 MHz) and is equipped with a 2.3-inch black and white display with a 128x128 pixels resolution. The display is user-friendly with a clear and simple menu structure. The large buttons, loudspeaker and strongly felt vibration make the Hyundai MB-150 suitable for, for example, the elderly that are more and more confronted with technologically complex cell phones.

 

 

Hyundai MP-105 entry-level phone

The basic Hyundai MB-105 model already exists for some time and was first spotted during the MWC 2009 in Spain. The Hyundai is a simple cell phone and equipped with a small 1.2-inch format display. With a resolution of 128x160 pixels, it is not taking the lead in terms of pixels and display quality, but the emphasis of this basic model is more on the price than on the specifications. The battery is built-in, so it is not interchangeable. The Hyundai MB-105 comes with a charger and headset included.
