Sony TransferJet station for the CyberShot TX7 camera
During the CES, there was a demonstration made with a so-called TransferJet station and a Sony CyberShot TX7 camera. By simply placing the Sony TX7 on the station, direct data transfer is possible. No mucking around with pairing or other hindrances, it doesn't get any simpler than this. Another demonstration was made with a Sony Ericsson cell phone, which has integrated TransferJet. By holding the Sony Ericsson mobile phone shortly to a device that holds content, the content is directly entered, and the cell phone can be taken away.

Transfer large amount of data files fast via Sony Transfer Jet
TransferJet works at a very high speed and thus is very suitable for working with large data files. The theoretical speed that can be achieved amounts to 560Mbps, with a maximum data transfer of 375Mbps. To guarantee safety, it is possible to register and activate TransferJet devices, voluntarily. Due to the short transfer time, safety is also put under less pressure. Another advantage is that there is only a connection possible when the device is held very closely to the other device, so that the chance of interference between devices is negligible. We will surely be hearing more about TransferJet soon!
