A pple is booming: whether it's an iPod MP3 player or an iMac computer, each Apple product is bit mystical. Such is the Apple iPhone, which is in fact just a regular cell phone. Only the rumor that they are working on a basic model iPhone, the iPhone 3Gs 8GB, is stirring things up again. It must be the fault of the Android mobile phone, which is coming from a manufacturer whose existence often appears to be hanging on a thin thread. The Motorola MILESTONE Android phone, or otherwise known as the Motorola DROID, could create fierce competition, especially in the lowest segment of today’s mobile phone market.

Right now it is only speculation if the rumor about the Apple iPhone 3GS 8GB will really hit the market. It would be surprising if Apple truly makes such a tactical decision, especially given the fact that in doing so, Apple would recognize that they indeed see the same potential in Google Android as the rest of the market does. And that would certainly be something for Apple, wouldn't it?
