id New York Times Executive Editor Bill Keller speak too soon? With each and every day, the rumors about a new Apple product being launched soon seem to become stronger; the Apple Tablet. Biller Keller briefly mentioned the so-called Apple Slate during a private meeting. The Apple Slate is supposed to be a tablet that enables reading content such as newspapers. Undoubtedly Apple's refined touch technology will be integrated in the Apple Tablet. The goal of the NY times meeting was a presentation about the future of the New York Times as a newspaper in the digital era. And Apple seems to be involved in this.

Apple iTablet
Whether or not this new product will actually go by the name of Apple Slate, or whether it has been randomly named after the tiles, remains to be seen. Perhaps Apple will opt for the obvious choice; Apple iTablet. The new Apple Tablet will fill the gap between a MacBook and an iPod Touch, and in addition to the advanced touch features, it will be able to play a variety of media, from video and audio up to eBooks, including electronic newspapers.
