R esidents of Oklahoma can receive immediate access to National Weather Service alerts during severe weather season and throughout the year through the use of the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management’s (OEM) Weather Notification System. At no cost, subscribers can receive weather alerts for up to five counties sent to their email address and/or mobile device (cell phones, smart phones and PDAs). Standard text messaging rates apply.

Subscribers can modify their settings and unsubscribe at any time. OEM's Weather Notification System is a product of a partnership between the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management, National Weather Service and OK.gov, Oklahoma's Official Web site managed by the eGovernment firm, NIC Inc.
