S amsung brought along a large line of new cell phones to the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2009 in Spain. We counted no less than 26 new cell phones. Although they do not all target the same region, it remains an impressive figure. The new assortment of Samsung cell phones was showcased in the back of the Samsung Mobile booth in Barcelona. A more public presentation was prepared only for the 'eye catchers'. This meant a lot of attention for the Samsung Beat DJ, a cell phone that provides (Ice Power) sound of Samsung in corporation with Bang & Olufsen. The Samsung BeatDJ is a phone specifically aiming at the music freak who is also design-sensitive.

 

Samsung UltraTOUCH cell phone
The new Samsung UltraTOUCH is a slider cell phone with a touch screen and Windows Mobile operating system. Featuring a 2.8 inch AMOLED touchscreen monitor with a resolution of 240x400 pixels and 16 million colors, the Samsung UltraTOUCH cell phone guarantees high quality reproduction. The 3G cell phone sports a keyboard that slides open, Bluetooth 2.1, 80MB internal memory with expanding possibilities up to 16GB via a microSD card slot.

 

8 Megapixels cell phone
You will need this amount of storage capacity if you use the digital camera function a lot. 8 Megapixels of resolution combined with a dual LED flash and other typical camera features such as face and smile detection certainly add to the digital photo experience. Samsung Omnia HD
The Samsung Omnia HD cell phone also had a prominent role at the GSMA World Mobile Congress. The Samsung Omnia is a sales hit in many different countries, and hopes are high for the new Samsung Omnia HD (High Definition). Mobile High Definition is a trend that found its way into cell phones as well as digital cameras.

Question remains how this will affect the energy use and the performance of the cell phone. We know for a fact that the size of the Samsung Omnia HD handset has increased slightly. Samsung cell phone projectors
In addition to its phone force, Samsung Mobile also demonstrated its version of mobile micro projection system. The Samsung MBP200 and the Samsung i7410 projection cell phones were both showcased in the back of the booth and do not seem to be Samsung's spearheads. The Samsung MBP200 projection phone is able to project an image of 12.7 up to 127 cm in HVGA resolution of 480x320 pixels.

 

 

Samsung MBP200 cell phone projector
The Samsung MBP200 cell phone sports a built-in LCD monitor of 2.2 inch with a resolution of 320x240 pixels. As for video, the Samsung microprojector supports DivX / Xvid, WMV, MPEG2, MPEG4 and Mobile TV Terrestrial-DMB. Audio formats: MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC and WAV are supported. The Samsung MBP200 cell phone projector has a compact size (107.3x48.8x19 mm) and a light weight of approximately 60 gram. According to its specifications, the battery lasts for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

 

 

Samsung Show i7410 phone projector
Samsung's second microprojector has a built-in phone, or the other way around if you wish. The Samsung i7410 is a 5 Megapixel CMOS camera phone with Autofocus and advanced digital photography techniques such as face detection and landscape pictures. The Samsung Show projector cell phone is equipped with a 3.2 inch display.
