Navigation on cell phones as a temporary solution
"Strategy Analytics research shows that consumers preferred PNDs, or factory-installed navigation systems, due mainly to larger display size and ease of use," commented Chris Schreiner, Senior User Experience Analyst at Strategy Analytics. "Consumers believe that personal navigation devices are safer to use in the vehicle." kevin Nolan, Vice President of the Strategy Analytics User Experience Practice, added, "Current owners of mobile device based navigation systems tend to view them as temporary solutions, and are considering purchasing a separate personal navigation device as an upgrade."
