Sony Ericsson X1 uses Windows Mobile OS
For several years now, the Windows Mobile operating system has been used on many smartphones. Windows Mobile indeed ensures a fine compatibility and synchronization with the computer, which makes it popular for corporate use, too. In general, this software is a tad more enhanced, which is noticeable on, for example, the agenda function, Windows Media Player and the Internet Explorer. Recent improvements carried out in Windows Mobile 6.1 enhance the user's ease. Mainly by placing short cuts with access to certain functions on the screen, which facilitates opening them, making it easier for the user, since it means scrolling through the menu endlessly is no longer necessary. The changes have been accomplished also by listening to the experiences of the user.

User friendly Sony Ericsson X1 mobile phone
The sliding full QWERTY keyboard makes using text messages and email a lot more interesting on the Sony Ericsson X1. It's easy to operate the keys and whilst sliding open the keyboard, the monitor will automatically tilt. The phone will also bend slightly upon opening the keyboard which makes it fit more comfortably in your hand. The disadvantage of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 keyboard is that it does not offer any tactile feedback. If you prefer working with the stylus pen, you can also display a keyboard on the touchscreen.

Sony Ericsson Xperia review
The large monitor combined with Wi-Fi and HSDPA make the Sony Ericsson extremely suitable to use evt: surf / browse the Internet with. Both the Internet Explorer Mobile and Opera 9.5 are preinstalled. This is very positive; you can always use your favorite browser and you're not tied to the Internet Explorer. Both browsers are easy to operate. More about this multimedia phone can be read in our full Sony Ericsson X1 review.
