A rchos was founded in 1988 as a worldwide producer of consumer Electronics, and are specifically known for their portable media products. Archos specialize in hand-sized audio and video recording, photo and video viewers. Today, Archos continue to develop their products, enabling us to purchase full media players / media recorders the size of a hand. The Archos 405 belongs to the Generation 5 series and is the most standard version of the line-up. Newer products of the same series offer additional features such as a Touchscreen, Wi-Fi and GPS. Archos MP3 player navigation

The Archos 405 displays large and bright icons in the main menu, which makes it quite well-structured. You have several choices; Music, Video, Picture, Files, VideoCorder and Voice recording. A submenu is also available with settings for the aforementioned options, and lets you adjust the main menu of the Archos 405 to your own preferences by selecting a different background or a different colour theme. All the pictures you have stored on your device are available as background. The operation of the menu is carried out by the buttons on the right side of the media player. 

Playing videos via the Archos media player

You would already want to purchase this device for its video player alone. The video functionality is perfectly carried out and the 30GB of memory capacity lets you store more than enough videos and movies. The videos are displayed in the menu as a list with a tiny motion image to the left side, (a selection of the full movie), with text addition. Once you start a video you can enjoy high quality video reproduction. A number of options become available when playing a video; for example format, speed or settings for sound/reproduction can be adjusted.

 

 

Archos MP3 player review

The Archos 405 is a portable media player of the Archos Generation 5 series. This version features a large 3.5" TFT LCD monitor with no less than 16 million colours, among other things. The Archos Media player offers a stunning 30GB of capacity which suffices for storage of approximately 12,250 songs. Archos's slogan says: "Entertainment your way!".
