Samsung U900 Soul review - Magical Touch Screen
As mentioned before, the U900 is Samsung's first device with an intelligent menu structure, or as Samsung call it: the Magical Touch. This 'thinking along' structure shows in a foursome of icons that change when a different menu-functionality is chosen. Standard four icons are visible, which can be arranged to the user's preference, as quick access buttons. Samsung's Magical Touch works easy and fast, even when you press the arrow buttons a number of times sequentially. Upon making a choice, you can feel the cellular vibrate slightly. Animations visible on the screen make it a lively and inventive creation.

The pictures taken with the Samsung U900 are beautiful and of excellent colour. Especially when taken under the proper light circumstances. Even if they were taken from a distance. If you take pictures in twilight, you will notice your cell phone adjusting the colour, and the reproduction on the camera screen is thus optimised. These pictures seem to be as good as the pictures made in daytime. However, if you take a look at them on the computer, there is a vast difference. It is obvious that the mobile phone camera is having difficulties, and in these cases the difference between a regular digital compact camera and the camera phone really becomes obvious.

Samsung U900 Soul test
The Samsung U900 features HSDPA. This technique enables faster Internet. The Internet browser works very well, the only thing lacking for entering a URL or a search field, is a full QWERTY keyboard. You also have to tell the menu that you want to insert a new URL, which is not handy, because it doesn't let you enter an Internet page very fast. The recently visited Internet pages are only found in the history. If you go to an Internet page you have visited before, you have to fill out the entire Internet address again. Yet for a cell phone this size, the Samsung U900 still lets you surf the Internet swiftly. Got interested in this multifunctional Samsung mobile phone? Read our full Samsung U900 review.
