W e tested the Packard Bell Eclipse not so long ago, and this time we will scrutinize the Packard Bell AudioKey Max. This MP3 player is ranked right below the Eclipse in the Packard Bell assortment, and offers a tad more functionality than a regular MP3 player, including several innovative features. In addition to listening to MP3s, the device lets you record voice recordings and listen to the radio. Furthermore, a neatly finished USB 2.0 connection is applied for easy transfer of files to your AudioKey Max MP3 player. The small size and entirely black design with chrome finishing give this MP3 player a stylish and elegant appearance. The Packard Bell MP3 player is available for approximately 60 Euros.

Operation of the Packard Bell AudioKey Max MP3 player

Thanks to the limited amount of buttons, the MP3 player is really easy to use. The navigation is found in a logical spot and is easy to operate. In order to turn the MP3 player on and off, you press the button at the front for two to five seconds. The same button lets you arrange the volume, fast forward and switch between songs. The hold button comes in handy when you carry the MP3 player around in your trouser pocket and want to prevent yourself from pressing a button accidentally.

Packard Bell MP3 player features a Black Magic Screen

At first glance, this Packard Bell MP3 player seems to lack a monitor. But when you activate the AudioKey Max player, to the left of the round navigation button a clear OLED monitor appears. This is the so-called Black Magic Screen of Packard Bell. A beautiful technology; the quality is similar to other screens whilst it also adds to the design. A pity the piano lacquer of the device is fingerprint-prone. Interested in the performances of this MP3 player? Read our Packard Bell AudioKey Max review.
