Nokia N81 8GB review

Nokia mobile phone review

As you probably know, there are two Nokia N81 models on the market; an 8GB model and a standard one with a memory card slot. We had the chance to review the Nokia N81 8GB. Nokia have opted for a compact slider mobile phone. On the outside the cell phone has a smooth and neat shining black design. The small dimensions of this multimedia device are striking. The 4 x 2 x 0.7 inches places the Nokia N81 on the same level with devices such as the Samsung G800 and the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic. And although the Nokia N81 8GB does not fully aim at mobile photography, the N81 8GB's back does look entirely like a digital camera.

Nokia N81 8GB Test

Nokia N81 8GB review rating
We can say that we are dealing with a true multimedia device when we talk about the Nokia N81 8GB. Some things however still need improvement. The weight is too high; the N81 8GB is even heavier than its big brother, the N95. The camera inside the N81 is unfortunately only a 2 Megapixel digital camera. HSDPA is lacking which makes mobile internet kind of slow. You can hardly tell one numeric key from the other, which makes writing a text message very difficult with the N81 8GB. And that is why the type of consumer the Nokia N81 8GB aims at might not choose this device so easily. Read the full Nokia mobile phone review and take a look at the Las Vegas sample photos.
