N TT DoCoMo currently exhibits at the GSMA Mobile World Congress (formerly 3GSM World Congress), held in Barcelona, Spain. Besides its regular portfolio of handsets, they promote a new wellness handset prototype. The prototype is based on a completely new concept, making it possible to monitor your health. The built-in sensor within the health handset is able to measure your body fat, heart rate, bad breath (halitosis) and footsteps (pedometer).

 

Wellness mobile phone prototype

Worldwide health stays an important issue. The new wellness handset prototype is a fun way to reinforce good health, using your mobile phone. On-screen applications allow users to input gender, height and weight data, or display renewing data such as step count or calories burned.

 

Wellness handset - Music during your workout

The wellness handset prototype also features a music player. Users can simple set the distance, time or calories burned and enjoy music when exercising. To optimize your workout, the wellness phone provides the possibility to check out your pulse during a break.

 

 

Wellness phone - Server linkage function

You can manage your health easily whenever you like, by recording various types of data such as eating habits, exercise etc directly via your wellness mobile phone. Wellness data can be shared among family members via a linked server.
