C ommunology, a specialist in rich-media mobile communication applications, is to unveil a new solution for mobile social networks at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona (February 11 14, 2008, at the Fira de Barcelona). The solution enables internet communities like Facebook and Xing to extend their services to mobile users without major technical effort and allows mobile network operators and handset manufactures to profit from Web 2.0. It also incorporates features aimed specifically at mobile users, such as the ability to locate community members on mobile city maps. In addition, Communology will be showing its Live Media Mobile Marketing platform, a solution designed to enable innovative forms of advertising.

Mobile World Congress - Mercedes Benz project

Besides allowing creative professionals to use the full range of interactive and rich-media capabilities offered by today's mobile phones, the platform provides a set of other features, including customer data and campaign management. The first reference project, a campaign accompanying the launch of the Mercedes C-Class, has been nominated for one of the Global Mobile Awards.

The winners will be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona. The company will also be presenting new mobile instant messaging and location-based services on the Live Media platform. Communology's platform model has already proven itself in the provisioning of interactive multimedia services such as mobile TV, mobile video, and mobile live tickers.

In addition, Communology will be showing new modules for mte (Mobile Test Edition), a test platform used by the mobile communications industry worldwide. These comprise GSMNA-certified Java, Symbian OS 9 and Windows Mobile 6 test modules for mobile handset software testing and quality assurance.
