L G Electronics has launched an exciting Video Media Talent award in conjunction with Shiny Media to find the UK’s up-and-coming new talent in both video production and presenting. The competition which challenges entrants to prove that they have what it takes to become the next big names in the media industry, will give the top entrants two training internships - one for a video presenter and the other for a video production assistant.

LG Video Media Talent Award

Both categories require entrants to illustrate, in visual form, what they think style is. Video presenters will need to present a one minute piece to camera and video production entrants need to take raw footage or content from the Shiny media website and edit it into a final package. The top three entrants from each category will then be invited to the ‘Final's day' where they will be given a selection of video related tasks using the new LG ‘Viewty' 5 megapixel camera phone, exploring both its still, video and editing capabilities. The two winners will receive a six month internship with Shiny Media, including an all expense paid assignment to the 2008 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and an LG Viewty - helping them shoot and edit video on the move. The competition closes on 14 December 2007.
