Jeff Kost
Prior to joining SanDisk in 1997, Jeff Kost held management posts at distribution leaders Bell Microproducts and Avnet Electronics, and also at hard-drive storage pioneer Seagate Technology. He received his B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis.
SanDisk retail mobile business
In his new SanDisk position, Kost is charged with responsibility to significantly grow SanDisk's retail mobile business and create a new P&L for the company's Mobile Retail division. He reports to Yoram Cedar, SanDisk's executive vice president, Mobile Business Unit and Corporate Engineering.
SanDisk Mobile Division
According to Cedar, "The market for mobile phones with storage-intensive features, such as the ability to play and record video, play music and take high-resolution digital photos, is growing rapidly. Jeff has been instrumental in helping SanDisk become the number one provider of storage cards for this strategic market. As this market continues to grow worldwide, we believe SanDisk will remain well positioned as people discover how to ‘wake up' the features of their phones with the addition of large capacity storage cards."
