S ony is taking in-car personal navigation to the next level by introducing its range of slim-line, wide-screen nav-u personal navigation devices - the NV-U93T, NV-U83, NV-U73T and NV-U53. The range includes two 4.8” wide-screen models with Bluetooth and two compact 4.3” wide-screen models to enable road warriors to pick the one best suited to their individual needs. Sony NV-U93T Bluetooth navigation

Both models feature the customary sleek design and a high-brightness, ultra-wide 4.8" screen with auto-dimmer which adjusts brightness by sensing sunlight - so there's no squinting in order to see the display. The Sony NV-U93T, aimed at international drivers, is equipped with a pan-European map to guide you across the continent. It also includes Traffic Message Channel (TMC) which monitors real-time broadcasts of information on traffic hold-ups for dynamic re-routing in the event of traffic delays (optional in Sony NV-U83).

 

Sony Bluetooth navigation - Position plus

Both models include Position plus which assists you in uninterrupted routing when GPS signals are temporarily compromised which can happen when the vehicle is travelling, for example through a tunnel or between tall buildings, enabling stress-free travel without interruption.

 

 

 

Sony NV-U93T & Sony NV-U83 navigation

Gesture Command ensures added safety - by simply drawing a line or shape on screen with a fingertip, the Sony NV-U93T and Sony NV-U83 will recognise any frequent destination - like ‘home' or the ‘nearest petrol station' and guide you accordingly. By taking away the need for menu navigation, Gesture Command adds extra ease-of-use for drivers not wanting to compromise security. The Sony-designed flexible cradle with Super-Suction Cup offers on-dash mount or windscreen placement, enabling you to position the device where it's most convenient. The Sony NV-U93T and Sony NV-U83 are the perfect addition for drivers who want an all-round driving experience and sat-nav which is second to none.

 

Sony NV-U73T & NV-U53 Bluetooth navigation

Sony's leading-edge compact wide-screen personal navigation devices now come in new slim, sleek design in line with Sony's other nav-u models. Both models feature a larger, high-brightness, 4.3" wide and slim screen with anti-glare. The Sony NV-U73T boasts a wide range of features including Traffic Message Channel and European map. The Sony NV-U53 comes pre-installed with your country map, making it the perfect companion for those who stay close to home. Sony-designed flexible Super-Suction Cup and Gesture Command are included in both models, offering you ultimate ease of use. All four models will be available throughout Europe from November 2007.
