T oshiba showcased a huge number of products at the International Consumer and Electronics Trade IFA 2007 show in Berlin, Germany. Among the many innovative and High Definition products we found a new mobile phone, at least new for the non-Asian consumer; the Toshiba 912T. The Toshiba 912T mobile phone features a widescreen QVGA LCD that reduces reflections, including sunlight, to deliver crystal-clear images even under natural outdoor light, all in a slim, stainless steel body. Now 1 Seg (in Japan only) is more versatile than ever - you can enjoy it both in and outdoors.

 

 

Toshiba 912T clamshell phone - Mobile TVOperation of the Toshiba 912T is easy thanks to the one-touch switch on the side of the LCD screen, which enables you to change 1 Seg channels with the touch of a fingertip, even when the handset is closed. And with an optional Stereo Bluetooth Headset, you can enjoy 1 Seg wirelessly. It is shame that outside Japan, Mobile TV is still a very small market and due to a solid standard and affordable lack of high-speed broadcast network it still may take a while before the non-Asian consumer can enjoy broadcasting the whole day.
