I ceWeb Inc., announced that IceMail now supports the Apple iPhone. John R. Signorello, Chairman and CEO of IceWeb Inc., said, “Apple’s innovative iPhone smart device is set to revolutionize the PDA marketspace. IceWeb recognized early on that the iPhone would drive a paradigm shift in how mobile workers interact with their smart devices and has been working for months to position our IceMail service to fully support this device. There has been much press regarding how the Apple iPhone might be ‘shunned’ by enterprise email users because of the lack of perceived compatibilities with Microsoft Exchange implementations. We’re working to ensure this will not be the case.”

Apple iPhone e-mail
Gary Dunham, VP of Corporate Development for IceWeb said, "Our phased roll-out of the IceMail service for Apple iPhone accomplishes two things, first, it enables our small and medium business customers to continue to receive their Hosted Microsoft Exchange email regardless of which smart device they may choose, and secondly, it positions IceMail as a useful proof of concept vehicle for all Fortune companies wrestling with the decision of whether or not to allow their employees to bring Apple iPhone's into their corporate network environment. Enterprise organizations considering adding iPhone to their employees ‘bags of tools' can now enable those smart devices on the IceMail subscription service without having to impact their existing infrastructure." Dunham continued, "The IceMail for Apple iPhone Now gives Apple iPhone users a chance to try this new IceMail offering free of charge for 30 days.

Apple iPhone IceMail account
There have been many rumors swirling about lately that Apple may soon announce integration with Activesync, a push synchronization software product from Microsoft Corporation which allows full email, contact, and calendar synchronization with Microsoft Exchange. If this comes to pass, Apple iPhone users with IceMail accounts will automatically receive that capability - included with their IceMail subscription, at no charge, no setup fee, for the life of their IceMail account.

Apple iPhone - Wireless email connectivity
"IceMail for Apple iPhone currently provides wireless email connectivity along with desktop synchronization of calendars and contacts. IceMail supports synchronization to the Apple iPhone from Microsoft Outlook and Apple Macintosh OS X's Address, iCal, and Microsoft Entourage programs. In the coming weeks, as Activesync for Apple iPhone becomes available, IceWeb expects to announce and make available full wireless calendar and contact synchronization as well."
