Alltel Wireless chose Motricity, a leading provider of mobile content services and solutions to deliver Celltop to its customers. Motricity provides content and technologies that enable Alltel Wireless to deliver a spectrum of personalized content accessed through a reduced number of navigation clicks. "Once again, Alltel has worked hard to bring a great user experience to its customers," said Ryan K. Wuerch, CEO of Motricity. "With Celltop, Alltel is bringing a rich, simple and personalized experience to the consumer."
Wireless Celtop - Personalized content
Through Motricity's Fuel 5 content delivery platform, Alltel Wireless customers are able to access multiple types of highly personalized content. For example, the "News" cell allows users to view top news stories and breaking news; while the "Weather" cell delivers the latest conditions in the user's location of choice including current readings and five-day forecasts. The ringtone cell also provides the ability to toggle through ringtones with a single tap - making it easier than ever for customers to personalize their wireless phone. Additionally, there are "Football, Basketball and Baseball" cells, delivering live scores and stats from the consumer's favorite teams and players; and the "Stock Market" cell provides information on stocks that are of interest to the customer.
Motricity Fuel & Alltel Wireless
A simple and fast user experience is made possible through Motricity's Fuel Client interface, built to allow an open interface between on-device catalogs and the world's leading storefront platform for mass-market handsets. The Fuel Client includes "search" capabilities, allowing consumers to access and easily navigate Motricity's large, centrally managed content catalog so they have the richest possible content at their fingertips. "Wireless carriers have been trying to solve the content discovery and navigation problem for years, and we are proud to be the first wireless carrier to deliver a technology that provides a solution," said Scott Moody, director of data services for Alltel Wireless. "With its modular cells and easy navigation, Celltop will change how our customers discover content and connect to information."
