Danger Sidekick 3 - T-Mobile
Existing T-Mobile customers will be the first to be able to purchase the T-Mobile Sidekick 3. For an initial 12-day period beginning today, limited quantities of the in-demand all-in-one communications device will be available exclusively to current T-Mobile USA post-paid customers - through the company's online handset upgrade program accessible through the companies website, and in person at two designated T-Mobile retail stores.
Danger Sidekick 3 - Support the Danger platform
The T-Mobile Sidekick 3 is supported by the Danger platform, an innovative client/server software infrastructure that pushes e-mail, instant messages and other data to the device in real-time. The Danger platform features a data center that does the "heavy-lifting" on the back-end, optimizing, compressing and then delivering data securely and efficiently over the wireless network to the device. Because of Danger's powerful operating system, multiple applications on the device run concurrently and interact with each other, providing a PC-like multitasking experience for consumers. The result is high performance for users and efficient use of network resources for wireless operators.
T-Mobile Sidekick 3 - Danger powered device
Consumers with Danger-powered devices use the Web, e-mail and instant messaging 10 times more than the average U.S. wireless consumer. While 100 percent of people with a Danger device use it for e-mail or to surf the Web, information from JupiterResearch indicates that only 10.2 percent of U.S. online consumers browse the wireless Web, and only 8 percent check an e-mail account with a mobile device. Similarly, while 80 percent of Danger users send and receive instant messages with their handset, only 6.8 percent of U.S. online consumers use mobile devices for this purpose. On average, Danger users view 300 Web pages while sending and receiving 400 e-mails and 1000 instant messages per month.

Sidekick 3 - Blogging & Mobile instant messaging
"Danger users are more active than other mobile consumers and they are clearly on the forefront of some major industry trends, including social networking, blogging and mobile instant messaging," said Mark Fisher, Senior Vice President Marketing and Business Development, Danger. "We expect to see these trends continue, and in some cases accelerate as the next generation device hardware and service software becomes available."
