Samsung competition - Dirty Pretty Things
Voting opens at 00:01hrs on 1st October and closes at 23:59 on 31st October. Dirty Pretty Things will play an exclusive gig at the winning university's student union on Thursday 23rd November. Support at the show will come from Milburn who release their debut album ‘Well Well Well' on the 9th October.
Universities - Various promotions
Each university will make as much noise as possible, running various promotions to push their university up the leader board. Voters must respond to a registration email to confirm their votes or they will be void. Students and friends of the university are being asked to drum up as many votes as they can for their campus to win with expected support from local press too. Universities will be supported by their union newspaper, magazine and radio station to get the word out, and get their students voting online. There may even be some celebrity supporters cheering on their old universities!
Samsung Mobile competition - Prizes
There are plenty of other prizes up for grabs. The second and third placed universities will win an exclusive set from a renowned DJ to play on campus on a night of their choice creating fantastic odds of 1 in 5 to win a prize! Moreover, anyone that votes online is automatically entered into a draw for a chance to win tickets to forthcoming DPT gigs, beautifully sculpted new X820 phones from Samsung Mobile's Ultra Range, Samsung MP3 players and there's heaps of signed merchandise including signed copies of Dirty Pretty Things acclaimed album ‘Waterloo To Anywhere' and their new live DVD ‘Puffing On A Coffin Nail'.
Dirty Pretty Things mobile content
Samsung Mobile is also offering its customers exclusive Dirty Pretty Things mobile content to download for free from the website of Band on your campus. And those lucky enough to go to the gig, will have the chance to access the VIP area and after party, by simply turning up with their Samsung mobile phone.
